THE ROLE:

Calling all Senior External Audit Consultants! Our Edmonton based client is looking for support with 4 audits running over a 2-month period.

As the Senior Auditor your responsibilities will include:

• Working with audit teams to perform controls-based financial statement audits
• Using your experience with CAS and understanding of applicable accounting standards such as IFRS, PSAS and pension accounting.
• Working independently and in a team setting to complete your work on the files

ABOUT YOU:

You are a seasoned professional with over 3+ years of experience in External Audit, specializing in controls-based financial statement audits. Your expertise lies in working closely with audit teams to ensure meticulous examination and compliance with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS, PSAS, and pension accounting. You bring a wealth of knowledge in CAS (Canadian Auditing Standards) to the table, with a strong ability to navigate complex financial landscapes with ease. With a proven track record of working both independently and collaboratively, you excel in delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Designation Required
• 3+ years of External Audit experience, with preference paid to individuals with controls-based financial statement audits.
• Experience with IFRS, PSAS and/or Pension Accounting
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
