We are looking for a Senior Analyst - Market risk to join a Financial Services team in Toronto, Ontario. This Long-term Contract opportunity is suited to a detail-oriented risk specialist who can quickly contribute to market and treasury-related operations while supporting a high-volume workload. The position focuses on liquidity oversight, interest rate risk activities, regulatory reporting support, and day-to-day operational accuracy within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee recurring liquidity monitoring activities and maintain timely risk-related operational deliverables to support daily and weekly reporting needs.
• Compile and reconcile liquidity positions from multiple sources to help build a more unified view of funding and cash management exposure.
• Contribute to the preparation of risk materials and reporting packages for internal governance and regulatory-related review.
• Analyze cash flow activity, funding trends, and balance sheet movements to support liquidity and interest rate risk assessment.
• Assist with stress testing exercises by gathering inputs, validating assumptions, and reviewing output for completeness and reasonableness.
• Perform control-focused operational work to protect the quality, consistency, and integrity of financial and risk data.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing workflows by reducing manual effort and strengthening process efficiency.
• Review duration gap measures and related risk indicators to support compliance with established liquidity and market risk policies.
• Demonstrated experience in banking, treasury, market risk, or a related financial risk function within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of liquidity risk management concepts, including cash flow analysis, funding oversight, and liquidity reporting.
• Hands-on experience with stress testing, risk analysis, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Understanding of interest rate risk principles and their impact on balance sheet and treasury operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial information accurately.
• Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively in a deadline-driven setting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
