THE ROLE:

We’re partnering with a long-established client in Edmonton to bring on a Contract Senior Accountant with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience to support a key Finance initiative. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who can step in quickly, navigate Business Central with ease, and support both day-to-day accounting and the system implementation team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support the finance team with day to day accounting functions
• Work extensively within Dynamics 365 Business Central (journal entries, reconciliations, reporting)
• Support system implementation team with Business Central
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance teams

ABOUT YOU:

You are a detail‑oriented, hands‑on accounting professional who understands how financial processes flow through ERP systems. You are comfortable working independently, stepping into evolving environments, and balancing day‑to‑day accounting with system‑related responsibilities. You bring a collaborative approach and are confident supporting others through change while maintaining accuracy and organization.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (required)
• Experience working with dual ERP systems (Business Central & GP)
• Strong background in reconciliations (including bank recs) and journal entries
• Experience supporting system testing, implementation, and training
• Solid understanding of end‑to‑end accounting processes
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Excel
