With distribution centers coast to coast and a reputation built on reliability, our client is looking for a talented Senior Accountant to fortify their financial operations and support the next chapter of success.

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant in the Surrey, BC office will take charge of consolidated financial statements, oversee month-end and year-end closes, and partner with cross-functional teams. Your strategic insights will directly influence company growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts and analyzing discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing.
• Conduct financial and variance analysis to help identify trends and support process improvements.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate across teams to provide financial expertise and support broad company initiatives.
• Assist with tax return preparation and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications:

• CPA designation or close to completion.
• Minimum 3 years’ of relevant experience.
• Public practice experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of actionable insights.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Clear communicator and team collaborator
• Consistently meets deadlines and thrives under pressure.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
