Our client a major financial services company based in Central GTA has a current opening for a Fraud Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Fraud Analytics, this role supports fraud prevention and detection strategy by delivering analysis, insights, and reporting. The Analyst enhances controls, monitors fraud trends, and supports continuous improvement across Fraud Management & Corporate Security programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze fraud data and monitor effectiveness of detection strategies; recommend enhancements
• Support development of controls, policies, dashboards, and reporting frameworks
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure compliance and audit readiness
• Conduct root cause and trend analysis on fraud losses and emerging risks
• Enhance and automate reporting (Power BI, dashboards, scorecards)
• Partner with business and technology teams to implement system improvements
• Support fraud investigations and complex case analysis
• Identify and integrate new data sources for reporting and analytics
• Contribute to fraud strategy, tools evaluation, and industry research
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc reporting on fraud metrics and performance

Familiarity with Fraud investigation and Data Analytics within financial services is required

Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills

Advanced Power BI and Excel (PivotTables, VBA)

SQL proficiency; Python/SAS/R considered an asset

Experience with automation tools (Power Automate, Power Apps)

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
