Fractional Finance Systems Consultant – QuickBooks Enterprise

Duration – 6 months contract

Hours – approximately 20 hours per week

Work Model – on site, Mississauga, ON

Position Overview

We are supporting a growing manufacturing business in the search for a fractional finance systems consultant with strong QuickBooks Enterprise expertise. This engagement is suited to a hands-on specialist who can assess the current finance environment, improve how existing systems are being used, and help inform longer-term systems planning. The initial priority is to improve the current setup rather than immediately move to a new platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the current finance systems environment and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Optimize the use of QuickBooks Enterprise within a complex business structure
• Strengthen accounting workflows across such areas as reconciliations, close, payables, receivables, fixed assets, payroll-related entries, accruals, and prepaids
• Recommend better approaches across a multi-entity finance environment
• Create standardized templates and cleaner processes for ledger activity and data imports
• Reduce manual entries, duplicate processing, and inefficient workarounds
• Assess data flow between operational systems and QuickBooks and identify improvement opportunities
• Enhance management reporting through better system use and reporting tools
• Document finance procedures, controls, and operating practices

Required Background

• Deep expertise in QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Enterprise
• Experience in manufacturing or other product-based environments
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and production-related finance processes
• Experience working across multiple entities or business units
• Strong controllership-level accounting knowledge
• Track record of finance process improvement and workflow redesign
• Experience with systems integration, data movement, and reporting tools such as ODBC or similar. 
• Ability to assess current systems and support future-state platform decisions
• Strong documentation skills across procedures, controls, and process design
• Experience with industry-specific operational systems such as Label Traxx, CERM, Radius, PrintVis and EFI Pace would be considered an asset.
