THE ROLE:

We’re helping our client find a talented Quality Engineer with strong expertise in test automation and modern quality engineering practices to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, C#, and BDD frameworks, along with experience testing frontend applications, APIs, and integrations. You’ll work closely with development and product teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites.
• Build E2E and regression tests using Playwright, TypeScript, and/or C#.
• Develop risk-based testing strategies and ensure strong test coverage.
• Test React-based applications, APIs, and external integrations.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab.
• Leverage AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes testing environments.
• Investigate defects and collaborate with developers on resolution.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Experience: 5+ years in Quality Engineering, QA Automation, Software Testing, or a similar role.

Core Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with Playwright, TypeScript, and/or C#.
• Experience with BDD, E2E, UI, regression, and API testing.
• Experience testing React-based applications.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitLab.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of risk-based testing and quality engineering practices.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
