We have partnered with a well established engineering and testing company that are looking to add a skilled procurement specialist to their team. The successful candidate will be skilled at contract negotiation, vendor relations and process improvement with excellent communication skills. The role will be focused on supporting several business units across Canada for their procurement needs ranging from PPE to laptops, and everything in between. This is a standalone position that repots into the Finance team. Main Responsibilities include:

- Collaborate with business units and operations to identify and execute efficiency-enhancing initiatives
- Manage the strategic consolidation of vendors, conduct price negotiations, and perform vendor evaluations
- Oversee the selection of new suppliers, the development of existing suppliers, and the overall supplier management
- Handle the setup and maintenance of data and process flows within the purchasing software
- Track and report on savings initiatives and strategies
- Update and maintain all purchasing and procurement-related policies
- Lead significant purchasing and procurement projects that impact other departments

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and procurement roles (preferably within the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry).
- Extensive knowledge of budget and buying processes.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Ability to manage and process invoices.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of contract management best practices.
- SAP ARIBA experience is an asset
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an asset.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is an asset.
