Our client is looking for an experienced Purchaser to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This position supports daily procurement activities by ensuring materials are available across multiple locations through effective purchasing, supplier coordination, and inventory management. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and exercises sound purchasing judgment while thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily purchasing activities to maintain inventory and support operations.
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders while coordinating with vendors on deliveries.
• Source materials and supplies from domestic and international vendors.
• Collaborate with operations and production to meet material requirements.
• Monitor inventory, pricing, and market trends to support cost-effective purchasing.
• Maintain supplier relationships and resolve pricing, quality, and delivery issues.
• Keep purchasing records and vendor information accurate in ERP systems.
• Assist with inventory counts, audits, and continuous process improvements.
• Adapt to changing priorities and support efficient procurement operations.

• 5–10 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with ERP and purchasing systems.
• AS/400 experience is an asset.
• Strong understanding of purchasing, supplier management, pricing, and inventory control.
• Ability to build vendor relationships, manage priorities, and work independently.
• Comfortable in a lean, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Supply chain or procurement certification is an asset.
• Self-motivated, adaptable team player with strong communication skills.
