Robert Half is seeking a Property Accountant on behalf of our client, a reputable and growing real estate organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience managing financial reporting and month-end close.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties
• Complete month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Review and analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances
• Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and balance sheet accounts
• Coordinate with property managers to develop budgets, forecasts, and operating expense analyses
• Assist with year-end audit support and tax preparation documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and relevant reporting standards
• Support ad hoc financial reporting and special projects as needed

• Previous experience with property accounting or real estate industry experience preferred
• Understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting processes
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with property management systems is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines, and competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
