Project Manager – SOX / NI 52‑109 Compliance

12‑Month Contract | Hybrid

Our client in the Financial Services industry is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a NI 52‑109 restart and remediation initiative following major finance and systems transformations.

The project is to re‑execute their NI 52‑109 program and are seeking a strong delivery‑focused Project Manager to lead this workstream.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end NI 52‑109 restart project, including planning, execution, governance, and reporting
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
• Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders across Finance, Compliance, Risk, IT, and Internal Audit
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies related to controls remediation
• Ensure clear documentation, governance cadence, and status reporting to senior leadership
• Drive accountability across workstreams to ensure project milestones are met
• Support alignment between compliance, finance processes

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering compliance or regulatory initiatives
• Financial services or insurance industry experience is required
• Strong understanding of control environments, compliance programs, and regulatory projects
• Experience working with senior finance, risk, and compliance stakeholders
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable leading complex initiatives

Nice to Have

• Exposure to NI 52‑109, SOX, ICFR, or similar regulatory frameworks
• Experience supporting projects in post‑implementation environments (e.g., ERP or finance transformations)
• IFRS 17 exposure is nice to have but not required

Contract Details

• Contract term: 12 months
• Location: Hybrid (details to be confirmed)
• Engagement: Full‑time contract
• Rate: Flexible depending on profile and experience
