We are looking for an experienced Project Analyst to join our clients team. This long-term contract position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial performance and reporting of diverse construction projects. The ideal candidate will leverage their analytical expertise and strong technical skills to support project accounting and deliver meaningful insights to drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed financial reports to monitor project performance, including equipment and asset lifecycle analyses.

• Conduct cost analysis and evaluate spending against project budgets to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables, to compile and analyze data for revenue reporting.

• Review labour, equipment, and material sheets to verify accuracy prior to project billing.

• Collaborate with operations teams to compile internal project performance metrics and financial projections.

• Support the maintenance of project-related financial documentation and asset depreciation calculations.

• Assist in verifying time and material, lump sum, and unit rate reports for project validation.

• Generate progress reports and revenue summaries by consolidating information from project teams.

• Provide timely and accurate insights to address frequent reporting demands and enhance decision-making processes.

• Adapt to evolving processes and contribute to streamlining reporting workflows as the company continues to grow.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or financial analysis.

• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including pivot tables and formulas.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Experience in construction project accounting and reporting is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

• Excellent time management skills to handle frequent reporting requirements effectively.

• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and evolving business needs.

• Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy in all financial tasks.
