Robert Half is seeking a Project Accounting Lead on behalf of our client. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with both finance and operational leaders to strengthen processes, maintain compliance, and provide insight that supports business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project accounting activities, including revenue recognition, job cost tracking, invoicing, and project closeout
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to identify risks and opportunities
• Partner with project managers and business leaders to review contract terms, billing schedules, and cost allocations
• Prepare and analyze project financial reports for leadership review
• Ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes related to project accounting
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Maintain compliance with company policies, client contract requirements, and applicable accounting standards
• Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
• Provide guidance and oversight to project accounting staff, as applicable

• Previous experience as a Project Accounting Lead or similar role
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition, cost accounting, and percentage-of-completion or related project accounting methods
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
