Our healthcare client is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a 12-month contract. In this role you will provide strategic procurement leadership across the full sourcing lifecycle while ensuring best value, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.

The Procurement Specialist’s duties will include:

·      Leading end-to-end procurement processes, including RFI, RFQ, and RFP development, evaluation, and award

·      Developing sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, risk, and operational needs

·      Negotiating contracts, pricing, terms, and service levels

·      Managing supplier relationships, performance, and issue resolution

·      Conducting market and category analysis to support sourcing decisions

·      Partnering with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders on procurement initiatives

·      Ensuring compliance with the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive, Buy Ontario Act requirements, and applicable policies and legislation

·      Maintaining audit-ready documentation and track procurement performance metrics

·      Identifying and implement process improvements

·      Other related duties as required

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

·      Post-secondary education in a relevant field

·      Professional supply chain designations such as SCMP, NISCL-CSCL, CPPO, or equivalent a strong asset

·      10+ years of experience leading complex procurement initiatives

·      Strong knowledge of public sector procurement, trade agreements, and contract law

·      Experience in project management, financial analysis, and reporting

·      Proficiency with procurement systems and standard business software

·      Ability to manage mid- to high-value procurement projects

·      Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with limited on-site requirements
