- Hours: 60 to 130 hours bi-weekly
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
- Management
- Chemical application certificate or licence
- Determine type of treatment required
- Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas
- Perform minor repairs to equipment
- Perform administrative tasks
- Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
- Cut weeds and undergrowth
- Analyze and provide advice on the managerial methods and organization of an establishment
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
- Spray herbicides from the ground using manual spraying equipment
- Identify customers' needs
- Identify and document potential environmental and safety problems
- Provincial Pesticide Applicator Licence
- Electrical sprayers
- Mechanical sprayer
