Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities:
• Process end-to-end biweekly payroll for a large employee group with a high level of accuracy and limited day-to-day supervision.
• Review timesheets, verify payroll information, and enter payroll data promptly to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Handle employee and manager payroll inquiries, providing clear explanations and timely resolution to payroll-related concerns.
• Prepare and apply manual payroll adjustments when required, ensuring all changes are properly documented and compliant.
• Administer payroll for both unionized and non-union employee groups while following applicable collective agreement and policy requirements.
• Use Dayforce to maintain payroll records, process transactions, and support ongoing payroll administration activities.
• Work closely with the payroll team to help maintain service levels during staffing changes and periods of increased workload.
