We’re looking to connect with experienced Payroll Specialists in Calgary, Alberta for upcoming contract opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Review timesheets, earnings, deductions, adjustments, and payroll changes.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including hires, terminations, leaves, and status changes.
• Process benefits, pensions, statutory deductions, and payroll remittances.
• Reconcile payroll and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports and journal entries.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues.
• Support year-end reporting and payroll system updates.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with full-cycle payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, deductions, and remittances.
• Experience with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Payroll designation such as PCP is an asset.
