We are currently seeking experienced Payroll Specialists for upcoming opportunities with our clients across Calgary and surrounding areas. This shell posting is intended to identify payroll professionals with strong full-cycle payroll experience, exposure to high-volume employee processing, and experience working across various payroll systems and environments.

Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for hourly, salaried, union, and non-union employee groups
• Maintain payroll records, employee updates, deductions, benefits, and tax information accurately
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to processing
• Prepare payroll reconciliations, remittances, journal entries, and year-end reporting support
• Administer employee onboarding, terminations, ROEs, and final pay calculations
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders
• Support compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and reporting requirements
• Assist with payroll audits, process improvements, and system updates as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience in high-volume environments
• Experience processing payroll for large employee groups across multiple pay cycles
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, Payworks, UKG, Workday, or similar
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, deductions, remittances, and year-end processing
• Proficient in Excel and payroll reporting functions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• PCP certification or progress toward certification is considered an asset
