Oracle Fusion GL Consultant

Location: Hybrid / Downtown Toronto.

Work Arrangement: 2 days onsite per week

Duration: 16-month contract

Pay Rate: 55 - 70

Position Overview

Our client, a large and complex enterprise organization, is looking for an Interim Oracle Fusion GL Consultant to support an international finance transformation initiative. This consultant will play a key role in the finance workstream of a global Oracle Fusion deployment and will be expected to bring both deep accounting knowledge and hands-on Oracle Fusion General Ledger configuration expertise.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide expertise in Oracle Fusion General Ledger, with a strong focus on configuration and design decisions
• Support a global finance transformation involving multiple countries and legal entities
• Advise on chart of accounts structure, ledger setup, intercompany considerations, and broader financial design within Oracle Fusion
• Help address accounting and system requirements tied to regulatory compliance, tax considerations, and varying reporting frameworks
• Work alongside internal leaders, solution architects, and implementation partners to ensure finance requirements are properly reflected in system design
• Contribute to setup decisions impacting fixed assets, cash management, reconciliation, accounting hub functionality, and other related areas
• Partner with business and technical teams across international regions, including offshore and cross-functional groups
• Lead or support knowledge-sharing sessions and communicate configuration impacts clearly to finance and project stakeholders
• Recommend practical solutions in a highly complex environment, with the ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes with limited oversight

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent accounting designation is strongly preferred
• Experience working in multinational environments with multiple accounting frameworks such as IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements
• Extensive experience with Oracle Fusion GL, including deep functional configuration expertise
• Strong foundation in accounting and finance, with the ability to connect system design to accounting outcomes
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP or finance transformation programs in complex enterprise environments
• Exposure to Oracle Fusion modules and tools connected to the general ledger environment, such as: Accounting Hub, Reconciliation tools, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Tax, Procure-to-pay related finance processes, HCM-related financial integration, Reporting and analytics tools within the Oracle ecosystem
• Strong understanding of multi-entity and international finance structures
• Knowledge of intercompany accounting, fixed assets, tax-related considerations, and broader financial process integration
• Ability to navigate cross-border business requirements and support global rollout planning
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to guide stakeholders and lead training or working sessions
• Proven ability to operate independently in a senior-level consulting capacity
