Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Finance Manager to join their growing organization. This newly created role combines finance, operations, systems, and people leadership. You will oversee high-volume transaction processes, support ERP-related initiatives, drive process improvements, and manage a small team while ensuring strong financial controls and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Operations

• Monitor high-volume transactions including purchases, sales, settlements, and inventory activity.
• Manage and reconcile inventory subledger accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist with audits, reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and quality control across automated and recurring processes.

Process & Systems

• Act as a key process owner for critical operational workflows.
• Support ERP maintenance, enhancements, configuration, and user training.
• Coordinate and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Maintain system documentation and process procedures.
• Partner with vendors, developers, and internal stakeholders to improve business processes.
• Identify root causes of operational issues and implement sustainable solutions.

Leadership

• Supervise and mentor a small team.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional projects.
• Support business growth through scalable process improvements.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Commerce, or Business.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and high-volume transaction environments.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high growth, fast-paced environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills and collaborative approach.
• Retail or distribution industry experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or a similar ERP platform.
• Expert Excel and SQL.
• Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, or UAT testing.
