- Design agricultural machinery, equipment and systems
- Identify different programs that will benefit the ultimate goal of the company
- Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers
- Conduct research to expand knowledge of the field
- Design and develop equipment and procedures for the processing, storage, packaging and handling of food products
- Design and develop marine vessels and floating structures and associated marine power plants, propulsion systems and related systems and equipment
