Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining heavy industrial equipment used to cut, form, bend, punch, and shape steel components according to engineering blueprints and job specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production efficiency, ensuring strict quality control, and adhering to shop safety standards.
- Safely operate and produce quality products following SOP’s.
- Perform required pre-use inspections.
- Perform regular TPMs as scheduled
- Entering data into machine to set specs for cutting, crimping and punching
- Adjusting the machine to cut material to proper length
- Move materials to appropriate areas with crane or buggy
- Practice good housekeeping including 5S and time management in the performance of daily duties;
- Comply with all legislated and Company’s Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Lean policies, procedure and programs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Ability to use computers to manage jobs is a must, such as WOFU & other machine related softwares.
- Minimum 1 -2 years experience operating heavy industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret job specific technical documentation, cut sheets, precision measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, calipers) & possess basic English reading and mathematical skills.
- Experience operating overhead cranes in tandem operation
- Proven ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Must be willing to work independently and within a team, flexible shifts, accept shift transitions if required, and cover weekday and weekend overtime/absenteeism as needed.
- Physical ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.

Unionized Role
Pay rate: $31.77 per hour
Afternoon Shift: 4:00pm to 12:30am
*Overtime available during the week and weekends
