On behalf of our client, we are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support across end-user technology, Microsoft cloud services, and core IT infrastructure. This role will support employees across office and remote environments, troubleshoot day-to-day technology issues, assist with system administration, and help improve the reliability, security, and efficiency of the IT environment.

This contract opportunity has an initial term of 3-months and will work full-time on-site in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support through the IT service desk.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, printer, and business application issues.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including devices, accounts, permissions, and licensing.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Entra ID, user access, MFA, SSO, and related services.
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and track laptops, mobile devices, and other IT assets.
• Support device management and endpoint administration through MDM tools.
• Assist with cloud and on-premises infrastructure, backups, recovery, and routine system maintenance.
• Support office technology including meeting room equipment, AV systems, and printers.
• Assist with cybersecurity activities such as vulnerability monitoring, phishing simulations, and security awareness initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, asset records, and knowledge-base articles.
• Develop scripts and workflow automations using tools such as PowerShell and Power Automate.
• Support networking and connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and related environments.
• Escalate more complex technical issues where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, IT operations, or junior systems administration.
• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Experience working with an ITSM or ticketing platform.
• Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure-based services.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, MFA, and identity/access management.
• Experience with PowerShell and/or workflow automation tools is an asset.
• General understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Exposure to virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery technologies such as VMware or Veeam is beneficial.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel locally when required.
