This is an active contract opportunity. We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Infrastructure Consultant to join our client’s team in Muskoka. This is an onsite role to start, with the opportunity to transition into a hybrid work model after the initial ramp-up period. This contract position offers potential for extension or conversion to a permanent full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and storage solutions
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security; proactively identify and resolve issues
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives
• Manage and maintain cloud and/or on-premise environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, VMware)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business requirements
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Ensure adherence to security best practices, policies, and compliance requirements
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions 

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Consultant, Systems Engineer, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
• Experience with server management (Windows/Linux)
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in an onsite environment during initial phase

Work Arrangement

• Onsite in Muskoka during onboarding and ramp-up period
• Hybrid flexibility available after initial integration (subject to performance and business needs)
