Job Posting: IT Auditor – Banking Sector

Duration: 4-6 months

Location: Toronto downtown, hybrid; 3 days onsite

In this role, you will help ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of critical banking systems. Responsibilities:

·      Lead and/or execute IT audit projects focused on banking systems, applications, networks, and infrastructure, assessing risks and internal controls for effectiveness and efficiency.

·      Evaluate core banking technologies, payment systems, cybersecurity controls, and digital platforms for compliance with regulatory standards.

·      Identify and document potential vulnerabilities, control deficiencies, and areas for improvement; make actionable recommendations to management.

·      Collaborate with internal audit, risk, and compliance teams to ensure comprehensive coverage and timely reporting of IT-related issues.

·      Stay current with banking regulations including FFIEC, FDIC, OCC, GLBA, as well as industry standards such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO.

·      Prepare detailed audit reports, present findings to stakeholders, and support remediation activities.

·      Assist in the development and maintenance of audit methodologies, risk assessments, and testing plans.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

·      3+ years IT audit experience within banking or financial services.

·      In-depth knowledge of banking operations, IT systems, regulatory requirements, and cyber risk mitigation strategies.

·      Strong experience with audit tools, data analytics, and project management.

·      Relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CIA, CRISC, or similar) strongly preferred.

·      Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
