Inventory Accountant

Location: Surrey, BC

Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site (Monday–Friday)

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 based on experience level

We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing organization in Surrey. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and has built a strong foundation in inventory accounting within Canada.

This role is best suited to experienced inventory accounting professionals. While accounting education is valued, this position is not well-suited for CPA-pursuing accountants as the role will not provide a pre-approved CPA support (experience or financial support).

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate inventory variances.
• Support month-end inventory close and related journal entries.
• Maintain inventory costing and assist with cost analysis.
• Monitor inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Partner with warehouse, operations, and production teams to resolve inventory issues.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory.
• Prepare inventory-related reports and analysis for management.
• Help strengthen inventory controls and improve accounting processes.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct Inventory Accountant (or closely related) experience within Canada.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong understanding of inventory reconciliations, inventory transactions, and inventory accounting principles.
• Comfortable working closely with operations and warehouse teams.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Surrey (this is not a hybrid or remote role).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Assets

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems.
• Exposure to cost accounting or inventory costing.
