Our client is anticipating a future need for an Intermediate Accountant to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. This role is suited to a detail-oriented accounting professional who is ready to take on increased responsibility within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support full-cycle accounting processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
• Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts
• Assist with budgeting and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity
• Support audit preparation and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance and operations

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of accounting experience
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
