In this job, you will produce healthier and better-quality food for customers and communities.
Your mission will be to:
- Repair of production equipment, troubleshooting, and welding
- Installation of capital projects
- Inspect and maintain all plant machinery by carrying out preventative maintenance
- Responsible for recordkeeping and logbooks
- Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and maintain a close link with production operations to ensure maximum production time
You have:
- Certificate of Qualification – Licensed Millwright / Industrial Mechanic (preferred)
Apprentices may also be considered
- Food plant experience preferred but not required
- Experience in preventative maintenance, conveying systems, pumps, hydraulics, troubleshooting, welding, the layout of work, electrical knowledge
- Ability to work shift work and weekends
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated occupational health - Critical thinking skills
- Proven organizational and planning skills
- Motivation to work well independently
- Commitment to team spirit and a positive work environment
- Willingness to share and implement ideas for continuous improvement as part of lean manufacturing initiatives
