- Conduct geotechnical programs for data acquisition, analysis and mapping
- Plan programs for data acquisition, analysis and mapping to assist in the development of civil engineering projects
- Plan programs for data acquisition, analysis and mapping to assist in the development of waste management projects
- Supervise technologists, technicians and other engineers and scientists
- Prepare recommendations and reports for the construction or improvement of civil engineering projects
- Analyze reports and prepare recommendations on settlement of buildings, stability of slopes, and effects of earthquakes to support construction and civil engineering projects

- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association

Salary: $155,100.00 annually
