Are you a detail-driven accounting professional who enjoys turning daily transactions into accurate, meaningful financial information? We are seeking a Bookkeeper/Accountant to play a key role in supporting compliance, cash management, and informed business decision-making.

In this position, you’ll take ownership of core accounting processes, support month-end close activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure the integrity of financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role and can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

This position can be less than 40 hours per week – if that appeals to you! Minimum hours required are 30 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:

• Analyze and prepare month-end accruals

• Prepare and post required month-end entries in the accounting system

• Investigate and analyze significant variances

• Prepare brief notes to financial statements

• Assist with year-end working papers

• Prepare daily cash flow analysis

• Prepare general ledger to subledger reconciliation reports

• Complete monthly bank reconciliations

• Prepare monthly PST and GST returns

• Post daily bank entries

• Prepare monthly reconciliations, including intercompany and other month-end reconciliations

• Post inventory transactions

• Approve EFT and wire transfer payments across various banks

• Post automated monthly recurring entries

Ideal candidate will bring:

• 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience

• Ability to run full month-end close with minimal supervision

• Experience handling inventory and more complex accounting transactions

• Strong understanding of foreign currency and intercompany transactions

• Solid grasp of accounting principles, including understanding why entries are made, not just how

• Experience with SYSPRO accounting software is an asset
