Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Financial Consultant to partner closely with the CFO of a private equity-backed organization. This consultant will lead the setup and optimization of customizable financial reporting in Business Central, support migration and implementation activities, and help automate key calculations and reporting processes across a complex multi-entity environment.

This role will focus on designing and delivering reporting solutions for balance sheets, income statements, chart of accounts, and investment reporting across multiple companies and entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with the CFO and finance leadership to assess reporting requirements and configure solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Build and customize financial reports including:
• Chart of Accounts (COA)
• Balance Sheet (BS)
• Income Statement (IS)
• Investment reporting
• Entity-level and consolidated financial statements
• Create reporting structures that support a private equity environment with multiple investments and the need for individual entity statements.
• Configure and automate financial calculations and recurring reporting processes within Business Central.
• Support migration, implementation, and system setup activities for multiple companies and entities.
• Ensure reporting visibility across all entities, including balance sheet, income statement, and investment reporting.
• Collaborate with finance and system stakeholders to improve reporting efficiency, data accuracy, and usability.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend Business Central best practices for financial reporting and automation.

•Required Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Financial Consultant / SME working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Proven ability to create customizable financial reports in Business Central.
• Experience automating calculations, report logic, and financial workflows within BC.
• Hands-on background supporting ERP migration and implementation projects.
• Experience in multi-company, multi-entity accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, consolidations, chart of accounts structures, and investment reporting.
• Ability to work directly with executive leadership, including CFO-level stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
