We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, reporting, and financial performance activities for our Cornwall, Ontario operations. This position plays an important role in evaluating costs, preparing financial information, and helping leaders make informed business decisions. The successful candidate will contribute to month-end activities, maintain financial records, and assist with audit and control-related processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and organize the data, templates, and supporting materials needed to build budgets for controllable operating expenses.

• Perform financial impact assessments and cost-benefit reviews to support planning and day-to-day business decisions.

• Examine variances across actual results, budget targets, forecasts, and quarterly reporting to identify trends and explain performance gaps.

• Assist with month-end and periodic close activities, including the preparation of internal financial reports and supporting schedules.

• Oversee the accuracy of fixed asset records and maintain core financial master data used for reporting and analysis.

• Administer investment income tracking and complete related reconciliations to ensure account accuracy.

• Contribute to audit preparation, strengthen internal control practices, and support financial risk oversight.

• Prepare ad hoc analysis and management reporting to address operational and financial questions as they arise.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related finance function.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.

• Experience using accounting software systems and financial tools to manage data and produce accurate analysis.

• Demonstrated ability to build financial models and complete detailed ad hoc analysis for complex business issues.

• Proficiency in interpreting large data sets using reporting tools, data mining techniques, and structured analysis methods.

• Familiarity with fixed assets, financial consolidation, and core accounting functions in a business environment.

• Experience working with systems and tools such as ADP, CRM platforms, and Crystal Reports is considered an asset.
