Robert Half is partnering with an organization that's looking to add a Financial Accountant to their growing team. This is a full-time/permanent role working remote.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate month-end and year-end accounting activities by preparing journal entries, accruals, and detailed supporting documentation for one or more entities.

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, intercompany accounts, prepaid balances, and accrued liabilities, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Contribute to consolidated reporting by maintaining schedules, assisting with financial analysis, and explaining variances against budgets and forecasts.

• Administer day-to-day accounting transactions related to payables, receivables, billing, inventory reconciliation, and payroll-related entries.

• Maintain revenue recognition support files for recurring and product-based revenue streams in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

• Assist with indirect tax compliance by preparing information for filings, reviewing outstanding items, and helping ensure submission readiness.

• Support external audit activities by organizing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to requests from auditors.

• Use ERP and reporting tools to improve close, reconciliation, and reporting workflows, while supporting system assessments or migration-related finance tasks when required.

• Identify inefficiencies in existing processes, recommend practical improvements, and gradually take ownership of key accounting workflows with reduced supervision.

• Work closely with the Financial Controller to help shape process enhancements, reporting practices, and systems-related decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required in finance/accounting or in a related field.

• Pursuing CPA or obtained an ACCA.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in environments involving multiple entities or more than one currency.

• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, including period-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.

• Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics systems.

• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build, maintain, and review schedules and working papers accurately.

• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and invoice processing in a finance setting that requires strong attention to detail.

• Knowledge of revenue recognition, inventory accounting, or indirect tax compliance is an asset.

• Excellent attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the confidence to raise issues early and communicate clearly.
