THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking a CPA-designated Financial Accountant to provide interim support during a significant ERP transformation initiative. In this hands-on role, you will take ownership of key financial reporting, audit coordination, and month-end accounting activities within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and review annual audited financial statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS
• Coordinate and lead annual audit activities, including managing auditor requests and timelines
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
• Lead the consolidation of multiple legal entities and support corporate reporting requirements
• Perform account reconciliations and prepare supporting financial analysis for management
• Prepare and post journal entries related to fixed assets, accruals, inventory adjustments, and other month-end activities
• Support foreign exchange (FX) accounting processes
• Calculate and analyze depreciation, depletion, and asset retirement obligations (ARO)
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow reporting, and process documentation

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• CPA designation required
• Proven experience preparing financial statements under IFRS
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidations, and month-end accounting processes
• Exposure to ERP environments, preferably SAP S/4HANA
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and lookups
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines
• Oil and gas industry experience is preferred
• Public practice experience is considered an asset
