• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects, including opportunities to improve processes and support the organization’s continued growth.
• Serve as a trusted financial partner to leadership, providing clear and practical financial information to support informed decision-making.
Ideal Background
• CPA designation is required; Certified Aboriginal/Indigenous Financial Manager (CAFM) designation will be considered an asset.
• Experience working within an Indigenous organization, Nation-owned business, not-for-profit organization, or other complex organizational environment is considered an asset.
• Progressive accounting and finance experience with strong knowledge of month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements, management reporting, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and financial controls.
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising accounting professionals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with leadership and stakeholders across the organization.
• A hands-on, organized, and proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and respectful collaboration.
