Our Not-for-Profit client seeks a Finance Manager to lead project financial stewardship and partner closely with Program Directors and Managers on budgeting, forecasting, donor compliance, reporting, and financial decision support. This role is responsible for ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance across multi-year, multi-partner project

The Finance Manager’s duties will include: 

·      Lead project budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis

·      Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decisions

·      Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, contribution agreements, and restricted funding requirements

·      Prepare and oversee timely financial reports, dashboards, and audit support

·      Review transactions, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and internal controls

·      Manage partner financial reporting, due diligence, training, and compliance oversight

·      Support procurement reviews, contract compliance, and financial risk monitoring

·      Improve financial systems, tools, templates, and processes across projects

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 

·      Post-secondary education in a relevant field

·      CPA or CFA designation preferred; candidates in progress will also be considered

·      At least seven years of experience in financial analysis and reporting, ideally in the non-profit sector

·      Strong knowledge of budgeting, donor compliance, and government-funded projects

·      Working knowledge of Global Affairs Canada funding rules is a strong asset

·      Advanced Excel skills

·      Experience with QuickBooks Online and financial management systems

·      Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
