We are looking for a dedicated Family Law Associate to join our dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of family law cases while contributing to the growth of a thriving legal practice. The ideal candidate will bring expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.

• Draft and review legal documents such as separation agreements, parenting plans, and court pleadings.

• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and decision-making.

• Negotiate settlements and collaborate with opposing counsel to resolve disputes efficiently.

• Prepare for and participate in court hearings, mediations, and arbitration proceedings.

• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines.

• Foster strong client relationships through clear communication and empathy.

• Stay current with developments in family law legislation and jurisprudence.

• Contribute to the firm's overall success by supporting team initiatives and sharing best practices.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law.
• Strong knowledge of family law legislation and court procedures in Ontario.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Skilled in negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
