Overview

We are seeking a Desktop Support for a short-term part time engagement to provide day-to-day technical support in a small office environment (under 50 users). This role will focus on maintaining smooth operations, supporting end users, and managing a simple ticketing system.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys straightforward support work in a well-documented environment with minimal complexity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 technical support to internal users (approximately 50 employees)
• Manage and respond to support requests through a simple, open-source ticketing system
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Support Microsoft Office applications and general desktop environments
• Assist with basic user account management and access requests
• Follow and leverage existing IT documentation to resolve issues efficiently
• Perform light system maintenance and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support roles
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and general desktop troubleshooting
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (open-source tools or similar platforms)
• Basic understanding of server environments (Google-based systems is a plus)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
