We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a food and food-processing organization in Mississauga, Ontario, on a contract basis. This position supports high-volume transactional operations by examining billing and invoice data, resolving EDI exceptions, and helping ensure accurate customer processing. The successful candidate will work across technical and business teams to improve data quality, address operational issues, and strengthen overall process performance. This role requires hands-on EDI troubleshooting experience, strong SAP S/4HANA knowledge, and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues involving billing, invoicing, customer master data, and system integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, monitor, and support customer EDI profiles and transactions in a high-volume production environment.
• Investigate and resolve EDI exceptions by analyzing transaction files, SAP billing data, customer requirements, master data, and transmission results.
• Troubleshoot issues involving vendor and store numbers, customer cross-references, file layouts, mapping, translation, connectivity, file processing, and transmissions.
• Resolve rejected transactions, partial file acceptance, missing or duplicate invoices, and retransmission requirements.
• Correct rejected invoice data and manage large-scale invoice corrections to support successful customer processing and uploads.
• Conduct root-cause analysis across EDI transactions, SAP, billing, master data, customer requirements, and system integrations.
• Analyze complex business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, data quality, reporting, and system performance.
• Monitor EDI performance trends, corrective actions, recurring issues, and their impact on business operations.
• Coordinate customer onboarding, billing requirements, and implementation activities with customers, vendors, IT, and internal business teams.
• Clearly communicate technical and functional issues to management, operational teams, and technical stakeholders.

• At least five years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, preferably supporting Order-to-Cash, billing, invoicing, pricing, customer master data, and related finance processes.
• Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting EDI transactions in a production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis across EDI, SAP, billing, master data, customer requirements, and system integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make effective decisions in time-sensitive production support situations.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data-analysis capabilities.
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts, including invoices, debits, credits, pricing, deductions, and billing corrections.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
