THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee full-cycle accounting, payroll, and financial reporting. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting month-end and year-end activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Process payroll through Ceridian and administer employee benefits.
• Prepare and file GST returns and coordinate corporate tax information.
• Complete government compliance reporting and payroll remittances.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support year-end activities and liaise with external accountants.

ABOUT YOU:

You are a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. You are organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including external financial reporting.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Knowledge of GST filings, remittances, and corporate tax requirements.
• Experience processing payroll through Ceridian.
• Experience administering employee benefits.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Experience preparing monthly financial statements and supporting year-end activities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
