THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller for a 13-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to join an established team and provide leadership and continuity across the accounting and financial reporting function. The successful candidate will be comfortable stepping into an existing environment, managing core accounting activities, and working collaboratively with the broader finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end and year-end accounting and reporting activities
• Review and support AP, AR, revenue ales reporting, and general ledger activities
• Oversee financial reporting and consolidation across multiple entities
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Assist with compliance, insurance, and other corporate reporting requirements
• Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors

You are a seasoned accounting professional who combines strong technical expertise with a practical, hands-on approach. You can quickly integrate into a new environment, build effective working relationships, and provide leadership while maintaining day-to-day finance operations.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• CPA designation required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• 2-3 years of experience in a Controller or similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial reporting standards
• Experience managing month-end close, consolidations, and audit processes
• Background supporting budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities
• Experience in SaaS, subscription-based, or technology-driven environments is an asset
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
