We are looking for an experienced Controller to support a manufacturing organization in Brampton. This onsite role is well suited to a hands on finance professional who can guide reporting, planning, and operational finance while helping the business make informed decisions. The successful candidate will bring strong oversight to financial performance, strengthen controls and compliance practices, and collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support ongoing business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Direct budgeting, forecasting, and longer-range financial planning activities to provide clear insight into business performance and future needs.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Establish, refine, and monitor accounting controls, policies, and procedures to reduce risk and maintain compliance standards.

• Deliver financial analysis and practical recommendations to senior leaders to support operational priorities and strategic decisions.

• Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and working capital performance, identifying issues and opportunities that affect financial health.

• Lead payroll administration with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to applicable legislation and company requirements.

• Support project-based accounting activities, including work in percentage of completion accounting where applicable.

• Work closely with operations, human resources, and executive stakeholders to improve reporting visibility and strengthen financial decision-making.

• Provide guidance, coaching, and day-to-day leadership to finance and accounting team members to promote strong performance and accountability

• Demonstrated experience in a Controller or senior finance leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes.

• Hands-on experience developing internal controls, accounting procedures, and compliance-focused finance practices.

• Must have experience in Dynamics Navision

• Practical experience overseeing cash flow, working capital, and overall financial operations.

• Background in payroll management with a solid understanding of accuracy and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Experience with project accounting, including percentage of completion accounting, is strongly preferred.

• Ability to lead finance staff and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an onsite setting
