Robert Half is seeking an experienced Controller for a client organization. This senior finance leadership role will oversee the business unit’s financial, accounting, and administrative functions while serving as a strategic partner to operations and senior leadership.

The Controller will be responsible for end-to-end financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, compliance, and team leadership. This position will also oversee local compliance activities, internal controls, ERP functionality, IT coordination, and business software applications to support financial accuracy, governance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Reporting

• Lead the full accounting cycle across multiple revenue streams and business lines
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results for operational leadership, corporate reporting, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS reporting standards
• Analyze financial performance, explain budget-to-actual variances, and prepare monthly management reporting and analysis
• Develop forecasts, budgets, and financial projections
• Prepare corporate reporting packages, including risk assessments, process improvement initiatives, and sales analysis

Tax, Audit & Compliance

• Oversee tax filings and required reporting to corporate and government agencies
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance, company policies, and internal controls
• Lead internal and external audits, including financial and legal reviews
• Prepare supporting documentation for annual corporate governance and reporting requirements
• Coordinate compliance related to customs, tariffs, and other trade requirements

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Support

• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff across accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and general accounting
• Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Internal Controls, Tax, IT, and other corporate stakeholders
• Support local IT operations and ERP system enhancements or implementations
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations
• Maintain oversight of company assets, including lease administration and insurance-related valuations
• Review and prepare capital expenditure requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of senior-level accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
• Experience with integrated ERP systems; implementation experience strongly preferred
• Solid background in standard cost accounting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
