On behalf of our client, Robert Half is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations for a growing organization in the real estate and construction sector. This is a permanent, full-time onsite position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and month-end/year-end processes
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency
• Prepare, analyze, and present timely financial statements and reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking
• Coordinate annual audits, liaise with auditors, and ensure supporting documentation is accurate
• Lead and mentor accounting team members
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives, cost control, and process improvements
• Maintain proficiency with leading financial software (such as QuickBooks, Microsoft D365, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, PowerBI, etc.)
• Evaluate and oversee payroll processes and benefits administration
• Support strategic planning by providing reliable financial insight

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA designation preferred)
• Minimum 5 years’ progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or Controller capacity
• Real estate, development, or construction industry experience strongly preferred
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, and internal controls
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERPs and reporting tools is an asset
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
