We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in streamlining financial processes, optimizing financial systems, and enhancing reporting capabilities to support the company’s rapid growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and directly contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the optimization of QuickBooks Online to improve functionality and maximize reporting capabilities.
• Develop and implement efficient budgeting and cost tracking processes across multiple entities.
• Lead and execute month-end and year-end close procedures to achieve timely and accurate reporting.
• Create and format management and board-level financial reports.
• Establish cost centres and intercompany elimination processes to ensure accurate consolidation of financial data.
• Assist in preparing regulatory filings and compliance reports on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements for enhanced financial operations.
• Provide hands-on support in journal entries and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
• Conduct regular assessments of financial systems to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar financial leadership role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, with a strong understanding of system functionalities and capabilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close procedures within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
• Ability to work with multiple entities and handle intercompany eliminations.
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
