Description du poste
The Director of Finance, reporting to the VP of Corporate Services and CFO, will oversee budgeting, forecasting, system and process improvements, as well as manage all special projects within the Corporate Services department.
Roles and Responsibilities
-Oversee the management, design, and implementation of budgeting systems and processes.
-Develop and implement a quarterly forecasting model to provide accurate and timely information to the Senior Leadership Team.
-Enhance internal reporting for the Senior Leadership Team to drive operational efficiencies and cost reductions.
-Lead the analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.
-Proactively identify issues and implement process/policy improvements to streamline accounting processes.
-Modernize and automate critical accounting processes such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and the month-end close process.
-Develop and execute an IT roadmap for finance, including the implementation and upgrade of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
-Design and coordinate the implementation of the integration between ERP and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
-Evaluate optional plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns.
-Provide recommendations for financial actions by assessing options in relation to organizational goals.
-Design and generate key reports using either management reporting tools or Power BI.
-Prepare the Corporate Canada Annual Charity Return, Non-Profit Organization (NPO) tax return, and coordinate the annual corporate insurance renewal.
-Address ad hoc requests and undertake special projects and analyses as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
-Foster and maintain strong working relationships with the finance team and other key internal stakeholders.
-Serve as a backup for the Director, Finance & Corporate Services.
-Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
-Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
-Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
-Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
-Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
-Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible
-Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
-Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
-Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
-Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
Qualifications:
-Professional Accounting Designation
-Financial reporting experience
-Business to Business Integration (B2Bi) experience
-Financial System experience
-Expertise in process automation
-Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics experience
-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
-Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
-Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
-Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
-CPA is required
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
-Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
-Detailed and have the ability work independently
-Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
-Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
