Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join their accounting and finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and experience managing accounts receivable and outstanding balances. The Collections Specialist will play an important part in supporting cash flow, resolving billing issues, and maintaining positive client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts by phone, email, and written correspondence
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account disputes
• Process account adjustments, payment arrangements, and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer communications
• Work closely with internal departments, including accounting, customer service, and sales, to resolve outstanding issues
• Support month-end reporting related to accounts receivable and collections
• Recommend accounts for escalation when necessary

• Previous experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role
• Strong understanding of credit and collections procedures
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up consistently
