We are looking for a skilled and motivated Class Actions Litigation Associate to join a leading class action law firm in Toronto, Ontario. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-profile legal matters, contributing to significant cases that shape the legal landscape. Ideal candidates will bring a strong academic background, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for litigation.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in class action litigation cases, conducting thorough legal research and analysis.

• Draft compelling legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, to support case strategy.

• Collaborate closely with senior litigators and team members to develop case strategies and approaches.

• Analyze intricate legal issues and provide well-reasoned recommendations to clients and colleagues.

• Attend court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations to advocate for clients effectively.

• Manage case files and ensure compliance with all procedural and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain clear and attentive communication with clients, keeping them informed on case progress.

• Contribute to the firm’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion through active participation in initiatives.

• Participate in mentoring programs and skill development opportunities to enhance abilities.

• Stay updated on developments in class action and competition law to provide informed legal counsel.

• A law degree from a recognized institution and strong academic credentials.
• Exceptional skills in both written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex legal issues effectively.
• At least three years of experience in litigation, with exposure to class action cases considered an asset.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience in competition law is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases efficiently.
