We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise initiatives that connect business priorities with technology and data solutions in Toronto, Ontario. This role works closely with investment, operations, finance, risk, compliance, and technology teams to clarify needs, improve processes, and strengthen decision-making through well-defined requirements and analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to transformation efforts by examining current workflows, shaping future-state processes, and supporting data-focused solutions that enhance efficiency, governance, and reporting.

• Data Analysis & Data Mapping
• AI Integration & Innovation/Enablement
• Solution Delivery & Implementation – includes the UAT process

Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to gather objectives, identify operational needs, and convert business priorities into clear functional, technical, and data requirements.

• Lead discovery meetings and working sessions to assess existing processes and uncover opportunities for stronger efficiency, control, and scalability.

• Review and document present-state workflows, then help define improved future-state business processes across investment and operational functions.

• Perform data mapping across interconnected platforms, establishing source-to-target relationships, transformation logic, and business rules for downstream use.

• Trace data movement and dependencies between internal and external systems to support reporting accuracy and stronger information governance.

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through technology-enabled improvements, including the responsible use of AI-driven capabilities where appropriate.

• Partner with project teams, architects, developers, product owners, and external vendors to support the delivery and implementation of business solutions.

• Contribute to organizational change and user adoption activities by helping teams understand new processes, tools, and data practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 10 years of experience in business systems analysis within asset management, investment management, financial services, or a closely related sector.

• Strong knowledge of investment operations, asset management workflows, and enterprise business processes.

• Proven ability to produce business requirement documents, process documentation, and detailed analytical deliverables for diverse stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience with data mapping, data analysis, and documenting data requirements across multiple business systems.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and align technical and business teams.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, SQL, Python, Bloomberg, along with familiarity with CRM environments and Agile Scrum delivery methods.

This role would require 4 to 5 days a week in office.
