We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our client's growing team in Toronto, Ontario. This position focuses on supporting Capital Markets initiatives by bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills and a strong ability to collaborate within Agile environments.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, to ensure alignment with project goals.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine business, financial, and operational requirements.

• Translate requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development and testing processes.

• Perform data analysis to identify system inefficiencies and create reports or dashboards that enhance decision-making.

• Evaluate current business processes and systems to identify gaps and propose effective solutions specifically for Trade and Order Management Systems.

• Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of priorities and timelines.

• Promote an Agile mindset by identifying opportunities for team improvement and enhancing product delivery.

• Design system specifications, including use cases, performance testing, and functional requirements.

• Support the implementation of technology solutions by overseeing their design and development.

• A degree or diploma in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science

• Certification or training as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst is preferred or strong understanding of Capital Markets

• Proficiency with tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

• In-depth knowledge of importing data for reporting, including spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Scrum practices.

• Ability to create detailed documentation, including Business Requirement Documents and use cases.

• Regulatory knowledge with CIRO/KYC, trading systems and order management systems

Compensation & benefits:

This is a full-time and permanent position that includes a base salary between $95 - $110k/yr, a wellness plan, extended health and dental benefits, and paid vacation time. This position is bonus eligible as well.
